Typical Peranakan cuisine to enjoy at anytime of the day.

This spicy and creamy noodle soup can be made with seafood or any of your favorite ingredients. I love mine with seafood. The broth is most important element in this dish. The different spices and rich coconut milk broth is packed with flavors and it's easy to make.
You can either make the paste from scratch or use the pre-made paste which you can get in the store which I sometimes use and it is not bad but of course it will not taste the same as own made paste.
Laksa paste
is a blend of lemongrass, dried chilies, shallots, galanga, turmeric, kaffir lime leaves and shrimp paste, all blended up in the food processor, then sautéed in a little oil to deepen the flavor.
